Sonakshi Sinha has well-established herself as an amazing actress and a singer who has won millions of our hearts. She will next be seen in the talk-of-the-town periodical drama, ‘Kalank’ co-starring Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. And, while she made a stunning appearance at the HT Style Awards 2019 yesterday, she was quizzed about her father, Shatrughan Sinha’s decision to quit BJP. And she had this to say.
“Being a party member from the beginning from the time of JP Narayan ji, Atal ji and Advani ji, my father has a lot of respect within the party and I feel the entire group has not been given the respect they deserve. I think he has done it a bit too late, and he should've done it long back.” She further added, “I think if you are not happy with how things are going on around you, you should not shy away from change. That's what he did.”
For the unversed, the veteran actor-turned-politician Shatrughan had announced his decision to quit the BJP after meeting the Congress Chief, Rahul Gandhi. And, he exited the party days after Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was declared as BJP’s party candidate from Bihar Patna Sahib, which happens to be the actor’s constituency since 10 years.
