A case has been booked against Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha after an event organizer accused her of alleged cheating.

The actress reportedly failed to show up at the organizer’s venue on September 30, 2018, where she was supposed to perform for an event. The owner of the Moradabad based fashion company filed a complaint against her on November 24, 2018, stating, “I tried convincing her a lot to perform at the event and even told her that I will incur huge losses if she doesn’t come, but she refused to perform.” However, Sonakshi’s team has refuted the owner’s allegations, claiming that the actress and her team were forced to return to Mumbai as the organizers of the event failed to co-operate.

An investigating official has reported that an FIR has been registered against Sonakshi Sinha and four others after they failed to respond to a notice that was served to them. The case has been booked under Section 420 and Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code.
