Son Of India: Ilayaraja remixes Raghuveera Gadhyam

Maestro Ilayaraja is currently working on Dr Mohan Babu’s 'Son Of India', a patriotic drama directed by Diamond Ratna Babu. The news is that the legendary composer has done a remix for the movie.

It is learned that Mohan Babu insisted that Vedanta Desika’s Raghuveera Gadhyam be included in the movie in some way. When he discussed the idea with the composer, Ilayaraja played ball.

In fact, the senior actor himself has rendered the song, taking the composer by a huge surprise. At first, Ilayaraja had his doubts but when he listened to the song, he was convinced about Mohan Babu choosing himself for it.

The film has got the screenplay by Mohan Babu himself. Producer Vishnu Manchu has given a glimpse of his father interacting with Ilayaraja regarding the song. “To produce a movie with legends is a God-sent opportunity for me. And to make iconic prose into a song, only a legend could do it. This is the first discussion between Maestro Sri. Illayaraja uncle and father along with my director Ratna Babu. I wanted to share this video with you. And bringing the song visually is another story altogether; that I will share soon,” the producer said.

Viranica Manchu is the film's stylist. Sarvesh Murari is cranking the camera. Dialogues are by Diamond Ratnababu and Thotapalli Sainath. Suddala Ashoka Teja is the lyricist.
