As we have already reported, legendary comedian Brahmanandam underwent heart surgery in Mumbai earlier this week.  An official statement has come from his family.  The actor's condition is stable and he has been taken out of ICU by the doctors.   

"On coming to know that Nanna garu has been treated in a hospital in Mumbai, his fans and friends are expressing worry.  Nanna garu's health is now stable.  When he complained of discomfort in chest region the other day, we took him to a doctor in Hyderabad.  He advised that surgery has to be performed.  On Monday, the surgery happened and it was successful.  Sri Ramakanth Panda, a prominent cardiologist, has been treating Nanna garu," Gautham, actor and Brahmi's son, says.

Brahmi has been moved from ICU to a regular ward.  "Thanks for the concern shown by everyone.  We are glad to receive your love and blessings," Gautham, who was last year seen in 'Manu', said.
