Son does what dad couldn't

Mahesh Babu is a happy man and also a sad man these days.
He is happy that his Arjun turned out to be a blockbuster. He is happy that his next film is shaping up well. He is happy that he has won the prestigious Nandi awards.
But why then is a sad streak in him? Well, the bitter-sweet emotion is primarily due to the fact that his father, the legendary Krishna, never managed to get his hands on to the coveted Nandi awards.
Despite doing some memorable roles in his long and illustrious career including Eenadu, Alluri Sitaramraju and Eenadu, Krishna's cupboard does not have a Nandi award. Krishna, a superstar, has done over 200 films in his career that is now spanning several decades now.
On the contrary, Mahesh Babu, who is just few years old in the industry, started with the best new comer award for Rajakumarudu, went on to pick jury awards for Takkari Donga and Murari and now the big one for Nijam.
Son shines better, heh?
