Brahmanandam has opined that those who love money will receive love from money in return. Appearing on Alitho Saradaga, the talk show hosted by Ali, the legendary comedian spoke of the importance of saving money for tough times that might come. It's in this context that he mentioned that a handful of great actors of the black and white era made a fortune, only to squander them away and die in penury eventually.

During the pandemic, thousands of people (referring to cine workers, poor technicians, etc) depended on alms for their survival. They had no money to even buy food. As far as I know, nobody earns less than Rs 1,250 per day in the film industry. If only they had saved Rs 100 per day for emergency needs in good times, they wouldn't have needed to beg for charity during the pandemic, Brahmi said.

He then made a mention of the yesteryear artists Rajanala, iconic comedian Raja Babu, Mahanati Savitri and star hero Kantha Rao. They had made a fortune. But their financial condition deteriorated eventually, Brahmi added, suggesting that they didn't know how to do financial savings.
