Som Shekhar a model and martial artist participated as a contestant in 'Bigg Boss 4' and initially no one gave him any change to last more than a couple of weeks. He however defied all his detractors by showing a lot of character and survived for the full 105 days and got evicted and ended up as the fourth runner up.

The notable aspect of Som in 'Bigg Boss 4' was even though he was a member of the controversial Love group started by Archana VJ he moved with everyone in the house with a open heart and did not indulge in petty politics.

A new video of Som arriving at his house after a long stay in 'Bigg Boss 4' house has gone viral. It is shown that his family welcomed him with a traditional Arathi and the children in his family jumped on him to show their love while he also hugged a senior member.

All the time the 'Aalaporaan Thamizhan' song from Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' is played in the background to good effect.
