'Solo Brathuke So Better' is about human relationships, too: Sai Dharam Tej

Sai Dharam Tej's 'Solo Brathuke So Better' will hit the screens on December 25. Ahead of its release, the Mega hero has spoken about the film and his character. Directed by Subbu, it stars Nabha Natesh as the heroine. The Supreme Hero also spoke about his upcoming movies, what he has done this year at home, his equations with his younger brother and more.
Sticking to principles
The basic concept of the film is that our freedom must be in our control. Virat (played by Sai Tej) comes with a certain philosophy. Can he stick to his principles till the end? The theme is based on human relationships. No matter how adamant you are about not getting married, ultimately your mother's will wins (laughs).
A request to audience
We are releasing the film in theatres at this juncture because we are confident about its content. It has been long since the audience have watched a family entertainer. I urge the audience to watch it by observing covid protocols.
An entertaining heroine
Nabha Natesh's character puts Virat to test in the film. Her character is highly entertaining. There is another female character but she is not a female lead.
Feeling blessed
It was in June 2019 that Subbu narrated the script. At that time, I was still shooting for 'Prati Roju Pandage'. The film was supposed to release on May 1. It was in last December, around Christmas, that 'PRP' came out and became a hit. Thanks to God's blessings, my film is releasing again in December.
Shift to Sai Tej
It's easy for people to call me Sai Tej than Sai Dharam Tej. There is nothing more to it. Several friends of mine have called me Sai Tej over the years.
Favourites from the movie
Thaman's songs have come out very well. 'No Pelli', 'Amrutha' and other songs have been a hit with the listeners. 'No Pelli' is my favourite, and I make it a point to play it every day at home so that my mom listens to it (laughs out loud).
Joy of theatre is back!
The joy of watching a movie in a theatre is always special. I watched 'Tenet' recently and the audience were cheering even when an ad was playing out on the screen. The ambience of a theatre is matchless.
Update on upcoming movies
Hopefully, Deva Katta garu's film and Karthik Dandu's mystery thriller will be released in 2021 itself. The former is a socially-conscious film wherein I play a District Collector. Sixty percent of its shoot is over. I am in talks for a couple of other projects.
Spending lockdown time
I have been spending time with family and four of my friends this year. Staying at home, I have realized how difficult it is to fill up a water bottle (guffaws). I have also read fantasy novels. A Devdutt Patnaik novel has interested me, of late. Netflix's 'Dark' and Amazon Prime's 'Paatal Lok' are superb.
Brother is like a friend
I and Vaisshnav Tej don't discuss movies at home. We both have common friends, actually. If I and he have two releases each next year, it will be a great thing!
