This ‘Rang De Basanti’ beauty is promoting "Pink" these days... The actress and style diva Soha Ali Khan had actively been part of the "Pink Carnival.., hosted recently by Pinkathon 2012 at Phoenix Market City mall, Mumbai.

The event was held to kick start the official countdown to the run scheduled to take place in Mumbai on the 16th December 2012.

To show her support for Pinkathon and spread awareness on the cause of breast cancer, Soha presented a donation cheque worth Rs. 100000 (Rupees One Lac) to Deveika Bhojwani from the Women’s Cancer Initiative.

Pinkathon 2012 is an initiative by avid runner and fitness enthusiast - Milind Soman who is bringing this international concept of 10km run to India through his event management agency "Maximus Events" along with his partner Reema Sanghavi.

This will be India’s first ever 10km run for women named "Pinkathon - Run to Lead" with an aim to spread awareness on breast cancer, and will be conducted in three categories of 10km, 5km and 3km.

Speaking on the occasion, Soha Ali Khan said: "Breast cancer is the least spoken about ailment in India and it’s surprising how easily we avoid such a big issue.

I think events like Pinkathon go a long way in creating awareness about breast cancer and I’m glad Milind has taken up this initiative! I urge all the woman of Mumbai to step forward and support Pinkathon, this is your cause, register and run for yourself!...

Giving his views at the event, Milind said, 'The official countdown for Pinkathon has now begun and I request each and every woman to step out and register for the run, if they haven’t done so already! I am thankful to Soha for being a part of this initiative and supporting the cause wholeheartedly.

Endorsements by socially aware celebrities of her calibre can go a long way in creating awareness about the cause and the run."
