Nagarjuna-starrer 'Soggade Chinni Nayana' has been having the BO registers ringing ever since its release in the early hours of yesterday (Jan 15). Early figures indicate that the movie is all set to cross the total collections of 'Manam'.
Without taking the overseas collections into consideration, the figures are said to be Rs. 5 cr. This is said to be exceptional given the fact that unlike Manam, which released in over 600 theatres in the Telugu States, this film has released in 100 theatres less due to the competition for screens this season from 'Nannaku Prematho' and 'Dictator'.
If overseas collections were included, the figure would be higher.
The film has been garnering the eyeballs mainly due to the comedy quotient and the 'double dhamaka' offered by Nag, who is seen in dual role. Ramya Krishna is another major highlight.
The trade circles are of the opinion that, as Nag has predicted, more theatre owners will demand this film in second week.
