Why decade old films in cold storage are releasing now? The answer to it is the television rights share for the producer. By hook or crook if the films standing in cans are released it is a good amount for already suffering producer. In the original films case it is an additional boon as the subsidy amount is also possible on the basis of quality tag. For remake films that is not possible.

In the case of remake or original, the languishing films are software for the television channels. There are middleman working for television channel rights who pushes the film to any one of the channels.

The case is no different with 'Sogasugara' Kannada film that is a remake of 2001 Malayalam film Ooma Pennin Oorayada Payyan' (deaf woman and dumb boy).

The Kannada film 'Sogasugara' was made in 2001 with a certified length of 4611 meters by Messrs Golden Globe Entertainment. It was certified as U by the regional censor board on 30th December 2002. With change of hands the film 'Sogasugara' is now releasing in Karnataka under Karan Films.

The main purpose of this release is the demand of television channels. The released films are only liable for screening in small boxes. Just for the sake of release it is shown in cinema halls. The ulterior motive is different.
