'Software Sudheer': Gay comedy, crass humour irks audience

Software Sudheer', a comedy-crime drama, is out in the theatres. Directed by P Rajasekhar Reddy, the film stars Sudigali Sudheer and Dhanya Balakrishnan.
The FDFS reports are not-so-encouraging. Those who have watched the latest box-office release are of the firm view that it's more about silly gags and Jabardasth-kinda comedy rather than the story.
What is in store is an overdose of doubles entendres. For example, a horny gay character mischievously keeps referring to the male genital indirectly. To make the matters worse, the film doesn't bat an eyelid before normalizing racist words like Negro for dark-skinned people.
In keeping with the great Tollywood tradition of over-simplifying issues, it also presents some bland lines on farm distress.
This is the film's last Tollywood release.
