Social media is quite superficial, says Prateik Babbar

In this time and age, social media has become an integral part of our lives and celebs often use it to stay relevant and connect with their fam base. However, there are some Bollywood stars who don't give much importance to social media and Prateik Babbar is one of them. In a recent media interaction, the actor shared that social media is quite superficial unless one has a crazy high following like Virat Kohli.

Prateik told ETimes, "I do feel social media is a little bit of a trap personally. I do enjoy it but sometimes it does kind of bring you down because it is very superficial at a surface level. Unless if you are somebody like a Virat Kohli who has 250M followers and with every post you are making a lot of money then it’s a different story. Social Media is a great place to showcase your work and also a medium that can really distract you from who you really are and what you believe in. It has its own set of advantages and disadvantages and is a trap which you can definitely not escape."

On the work front, Prateik will soon be seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming film 'India Lockdown'. The plot is based on initial phase of pandemic in India and Prateik is going to play a migrant labour in it.
