Ever since Nivin Pauly openly expressed his support for Jallikattu, the actor has been heavily criticized on social media. Usually, Nivin Pauly gets lot of support from netizens for all his social media updates. But this time, when he took to his social media page supporting Jallikattu and the protest, the post didn't go well among the netizens.

The actor was criticised for being silent on the issues that were connected to Malayalam film industry, which included the recent Cinema strike in Kerala and the controversies regarding director Kamal. However, the 'Premam' actor didn't respond to the comments.

On a similar note, other Mollywood actors such as Megastar Mammootty, Jayaram, Vineeth Sreenivasan and Aju Varghese who had also extended their support for Jallikattu were heavily criticised for the same reason.
