One of the biggest problems faced by celebrities is that while they wish to maintain social media accounts to stay in touch with their fans virtually, there are people who create fake IDs on socials media or try to hack accounts of celebrities.

After actresses like Hansika, Megha Akash in recent times, the latest to face social media hacking is actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, whose social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram have been hacked.

In an official statement, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar wrote "My social media accounts - Instagram and Twitter were hacked last night and I have not been able to access them as yet. I am in touch with the team from the apps to recover my accounts as soon as possible but this might take a few days.I woud like to inform my followers to please beware of any message they might receive on my behalf from Instagram or Twitter in the next few days. I will update you once I have access to my accounts again. I thank all my fans for your continued support, I will see you all again online soon".
