A social activist from Chennai has registered a complaint against actor Vijay's song at the Chennai Police Commissioner's office recently and it has caused a stir. We all know that 'Leo' is one of the most awaited films from Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj combo. The film's first single 'Naa ready' was released on June 22 (Vijay's birthday).
Now, the newly released song has resulted in legal trouble for the movie. The visuals and lyrics of the 'Naa Ready' song imply Vijay smoking and drinking as he plays a drug syndicate-based gangster in Leo. However, the actor and the film crew faced backlash from politicians and activists for promoting smoking, alcoholism and drugs. This is now going viral.
Now, a social activist named RTI Selvam from Korukkupet lodged a complaint against Vijay's new song, stating that it promotes the drug culture. He has also registered an online complaint regarding the same. The song has been accused of promoting drugs and rowdyism. The petition says that action should be taken against actor Vijay under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
The 'Naa Ready' song from Leo is yet another chartbuster composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Thalapathy Vijay sang the song along with Asal Kolaar and Ani, with lyrics penned by Vishnu Edavan (Lokesh's assistant). The film starring Vijay, trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Menon and others will hit the Pan-Indian screens on October 19.
