Popular actress Sneha has been awarded the prestigious Nandi Award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for her critically applauded first-rate performance in 'Radha Gopalam', a Telugu film of 2005. The film which had Srikanth and Sneha in lead roles was directed by Bapu with the musical excellence of Mani Sharma.

The award was presented to Sneha at a grand function that was held in Hyderabad on the 28th of November.

An elated Sneha thanked the producer and director of the film wholeheartedly. "It is a coveted honor. It is an encouragement and motivation for me to get more acclaim in the future" said the actress.

Sneha debuted into filmdom through the Malayalam film 'Ingane Oru Nilapakshty'. She then went on to become one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema in no time. With good performances she is a big name to reckon with. The actress was also part of the Malayalam super hit ''Thuruppughulan'' which was released a couple of years ago.
