Actress Sneha has filed a defamation case against businessman Naga Ravi, who allegedly claimed to be her boyfriend, and also sought Rs 50 lakh as compensation.

In her petition, Sneha has stated that Naga Ravi was introduced to her during a visit to Malaysia for medical treatment. 'He got acquainted with me and also visited the sets of my Telugu film Pandu and also took part in my sister's wedding.'

'When he expressed his desire to marry me, I urged him to talk to my parents. However, they said no, since they wanted me to achieve more in my career.'

'In order to seek revenge, Naga Ravi released to some sections of the media, photographs taken during my sister's wedding which featured me and him. He made false claims that he spent several lakhs of rupees for my medical treatment and all his efforts were directed towards defaming me and bringing disrepute to me.'

Sneha also sought the court's help in getting back the photographs and negatives which were still with Naga Ravi.

The petition came up for hearing yesterday and the Judge Chockalingam sent a notice to Naga Ravi.
