The Shakthi Devathe` of Kannada cinema, the lady behind the illustrious career of Dr Rajakumar, the pride of Kannada cinema wife of icon Dr Rajakumar and mother of Dr Shivarajakumar, Puneeth Rajakumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar, Poornima and Lakshmi was admitted for multiple organ defect at MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru.

At the ICU the 77 years old Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar, producer of eighty films in Kannada is on life support. The doctors attending on her have given cautious watch for 48 hours to detect the ailment and solve it.

There is a little improvement in my mother health on Thursday evening disclosed Dr Shivarajakumar eldest son. The expert doctors are giving best treatment to my mother he disclosed to the media.

Dr Naresh and team are giving treatment from May 17 for breathing trouble to Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar. The problem in kidney was detected. After coming out from ventilator the next step will be taken for treatment.

A quick recap on Dr Parvathamma Rajakumar – Born on December 6, 1939 at Saligrama to Appaji Gowda and Lakshmamma. She married Muthuraj (Dr Rajakumar later on) at the age of 14. Muhturaj was maternal uncle son who rose to the biggest heights in cinema.

It was Smt Parvathamma who was instrumental in the rise of her husband. From Trimurthy, triple role of Dr Rajakumar, Smt Parvathamma Rajakumar turned producer. She was in to distribution and exhibition of films. Starting Vajreshwari Combines she stood like Vajra` in the industry. From 1977 she producer nearly 80 films in different banners of the family and runs Shakthi Dhama` a house for rehabilitation of deprived women.

She was awarded Dr Rajakumar award for her contribution to cinema in 2008. No doubt the strongest pillar of Kannada filmdom.
