On the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, pop singer Smita has released a song titled 'Maha Ganapathim Spiritual Fusion Rock feat'.

She has teamed up with the fusion rock band Threeory to give a "modern touch to a Ganapathi sloka".

"With this rendition, they only prove that music, spiritual or modern, is not governed by any rules, only constructs that can be explored with imagination and purity of thought. Their attempt is to make spiritual music more acceptable & closer to younger audiences," says a citation on the YouTube page.

"Starting with this video, we would like to bring to you the best of traditional timeless classics with an updated musical arrangement," Smita says.

Music-directed by Threeory, the song has keyboard by Mark and drums by Tarun. The choreography is by Vijay, while Ravi Yadav has cranked the camera.
