Ahead of the India-West Indies match on Thursday, WI cricketer Chris Gayle has expressed confidence. "I know there is still a slim chance for us to actually qualify but anything is possible. We are going up against India, so it is going to be a challenge. They are playing good cricket, I'm actually looking forward to it," he has been quoted as saying.
It may be noted that the last time India lost to West Indies was in the 1992 World Cup. Since then, we played WI thrice and won all these World Cup matches. Of the eight matches the two countries have played in the WC tournaments from the beginning, India has won five of them.
Thursday's match will be held at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester. It will commence at 3pm IST.
All eyes are on the middle-order Indian batsmen after the Afghanistan match the other day.
