Director Lingusamy’s Paiya, which has Karthi and Tamannah in the lead is quickly nearing completion. The project, produced by Tiruppathy Brothers, is more than 85 percent complete.

The film is said to be a road trip entertainer, and has been shot in Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai all along. The crew will be camping Kerala to shoot one of the songs for the film, after which all that remains to be canned is the climax.

A welcome change from his previous films ‘Paruthiveeran’ and ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, ‘Paiya’ is said to be a feel good entertainer, with Karthi flaunting his macho look. “It’s a heroic subject for the protagonist and he will look his best in the film,” assures the production house. Milind Soman plays the baddie in the film, which has Yuvan scoring the music.

Paiya is director Lingusamy’s next directorial venture after ‘Bheema’, for his own production company co-produced by his brother Subash Chandrabose, and began shoot in December.
