This Pongal saw the release of three films namely Suriya’s ‘Thaana Serndha Kootam’, Vikram’s ‘Sketch’ and Prabhu Deva’s ‘Gulaebhagavali’ as well. These films not only was a festive treat for fans but also have fared considerably at the box office. 

‘Thaana Serndha Koottam’
As of last weekend, ‘Thaana Serndha Koottam’ which features Suriya and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles was screened in 21 theatres with 305 shows earning Rs.1,10,13,718 in profits.  Considering the timeline between its release in January 12 to January 21, the film has raked in a total of Rs.5,43,82,548 in total profits.

‘Sketch’
‘Sketch’ directed by Vijay Chander features Vikram and Tamannaah in the lead roles. As of this weekend, ‘Sketch’ has been screened at 21 theatres with 223 shows and has earned Rs.48,10,397 in profits. The film’s total profits from the time of its release stands at Rs.2,92,47,296. 

‘Gulaebhagavali’
‘Gulaebhagavali’ is a comedy entertainer featuring Prabhu Deva and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles and is directed by Kalyaan.  The film’s collection last week is Rs.37,03,986 with its total profits from the time of its release standing at Rs.1,25,99,087.
