Along with Kollywood, the entire Indian film industry has been with excitement since SK21 was announced as it brings together Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP). After making their debut in Telugu with the much celebrated, Major, Sony Pictures International Productions has now entered the world of Tamil cinema with yet another story that celebrates India and its heroes and promises to entertain audiences worldwide.

Featuring Sivakarthikeyan along with popular South star Sai Pallavi in lead roles, this as yet untitled film is written and directed by Raj Kumar Periasamy. Meanwhile, the latest news is that the movie completed filming on September 1 with a two-month schedule in Kashmir's stunning locations.

Going by the reports, the film is said to be a tale of 'Guts and Gore' which his high on patriotism, and his pairing with Sai Pallavi is something to watch out for.

The film also promises to showcase Sivakarthikeyan in a way that his fans have never seen before on the big screen.An announcement of the film was made in Chennai a couple of months back at a grand event in Chennai in the presence of producers Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, Mr. R. Mahendran, Mr.Sivakarthikeyan, Ms Sai Pallavi, Mr.Rajkumar Periasamy, GV Prakash, Co-ProducerVakil Khan, Lada Guruden Singh, General Manager and Head, Sony Pictures International Productions, India & Mr. Narayanan, CEO, RKFI.

The technical crew includes music director GV Prakash who will be composing the songs for the movie whereas production designer Rajeevan, cinematographer CH Sai, editor R. Kalaivanan, and action director Stefan Richter have also been roped in for this entertainer. This yet to be titled project which is tentatively titled as SK21, will be produced by Kamal Haasan, Sony Pictures International Productions, and R. Mahendran. This is RKFI's 51st production.
