Shocking rumour about legendary singer S. Janaki clarified

Rumours started spreading on social media that legendary singer S. Janaki the nightingale of South Indian cinema music has passed away. Her son Murali Krishna has clarified that she underwent surgery and is recovering from it and is very much fine now.

Janaki one of the most loved playback singers in Tamil started her career with the song "Singaravelane Deva" from the movie 'Konjum Salangai' in 1957 and continued for sixty years before retiring in 2017 with the Malayalam song "Amma Poovinum" in the movie '10 Kalpanaikal'. She has sung a massive 48000 thousand songs in 17 Indian languages and is seen as the biggest inspiration for young female singers who address her as Janaki Amma.
