Sizzling Shreya celebrates her B'day

Though September 11 is remembered for a gruesome
act of terrorism with regards to the Twin Towers,
there is something to cheer about on this day.
It is actress Shriya Saran's birthday.

The actress who began her career with a Telugu
film 'Ishtaam' has come a very long way as
a leading actress who draws national attention.
Her second venture 'Santhosam' in which she
portrayed the character of Bhanu was her first
major hit. Following the success, she became
the pretty damsel of Tollywood starring alongside
all the eminent stars of the industry.
Her blockbuster 'Sathosam' starring along
Nagarjuna is her inflection and there
was no looking back.

Shriya was born in Haridwar in1982 and
was raised up in Delhi. She was interested
to learn Kathak when she was quite young.
Then the acting bug bit her and she
went on to learn acting.

Having made it big in the Telugu film industry,
Shriya moved over to the Tamil film industry
after numerous filmmakers wanted to cast her in
their films. She made her maiden venture in
'Enakku 20 Unakku 18' and it was in director
Shankar's 'Sivaji – The Boss' starring superstar Rajinikanth.
Shriya was cast opposite the 'Style King' and the rest
as they say is history. Shirya career graph had
reached the pinnacle and she had become an
actress of iconic fame nationwide.

Shriya had left her marks even in Bollywood with
the films 'Awaarapan', 'Mission Istanbul'
and rest of the few which is under progress.

The pretty damsel has even enthralled Hollywood producer Ashok Amritraj as she was cast in the Hollywood film 'The Other End of the Line' where Shriya plays a Call Center employee based in India and ends up falling in love with an American customer. Another English film 'What's cooking Stella?' is also in the pipeline.

Her impressive line-up of yet to be released Tamil films include the stylish 'Kandasamy' along with Vikram, 'Jaggubhai' with Sarath Kumar, directed by K. S. Ravikumar and a prominent role in Kamal Haasan's 'Marma Yogi'. Shriya Saran is in dizzy heights twinkling happily among the stars for sure.
