Six MNCs opened centres in India in one month: Report

Here is some good news for educated Indian youths wishing to land high-paying jobs. The business environment is recovering fast. The IT and ITeS sector was not battered by the pandemic in the first place. And, after the pandemic has virtually become a non-issue, there is a revival in the business.

As per a report, as many as six MNC tech companies opened India centres in March alone. In Bengaluru, ABB, Lowe’s and Wipro GE Healthcare set up new development or manufacturing operations in March, a report by Swarajya Mag says. In March, a PTI report on the ABB centre said that the state-of-the-art facility is one of ABB's largest globally. The company was quoted as saying that it is going to serve as the backbone for technology developments to accelerate innovation. As for Wipro GE, the company has invested about Rs 100 Cr in the Bengaluru facility.

In the same month, IBM launched new client innovation centres in Kochi and Coimbatore.

This is not all, Trimble and Amazon opened business centres in Chennai. The former was set up on a 300,000 square feet office space with a seating capacity of nearly 2,000 staff. As for the latter, it has an office space supporting around 6,000 employees.
