The second wave of coronavirus took away the life of several people across the nation. In a tragic incident, six members of a family succumbed to the COVID-19. The incident happened in Mumbai to a Kerala-based family within a span of 35 days i.e between April 8 and May 12. The deceased have been identified as Selina (88), her children Valsa (64), Gracy (62) Jolly (58), Valsa's son Tony (36), and Selina's brother-in-law Devassykutty (86).
The first person who succumbed to the deadly virus was Valsa, on April 8, followed by others. Reportedly, other family members were also infected with coronavirus, but they recovered. As most of them were undergoing treatment in the intensive care wing, they were reportedly not informed about the deaths. As the entire family is settled in Mumbai, the funeral was also held there.
