Apparently rumors started spreading about Sivakumar and his family that they are atheists and are not religious. Sivakumar has released a video in which he has stated that there are millions and millions in India who worship Sivan, Vishnu, Brahma, Murugan, Vinayakan, Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Kamachi and Meenachi and others who worship Allah and Jesus. God has no form and does not discriminate between male and female and God is to experienced and not be debated as said by Gandhi but he too spoke the words "Hey Ram" when he died clearly indicating that whom he worshipped.
Sivakumar further added that he is a God fearing man and that his father was a devotee of Murugan who used to fast for every Krithikai and travel to Pazhani and recite the entire songs of Thirupughazh there. The 'Sindhu Bhairavi' star also asserted that he too from the age of five is a staunch devotee of Murugan and in his house the photos of all the Gods are placed in the Pooja room.
Sivakumar in his baritone voice further illuminates that he has narrated nonstop for two hours the two grand epics of India the Ramayana and the Mahabharatha in front of a crowd of five thousand people and the videos are available on YouTube. True spirituality is loving others and treating them as equal and that is what all the religions say is what the veteran finishes his short discourse with.
