Sivakarthikeyan made a successful debut as producer with 'Kanaa' directed by his college buddy Arunraja Kamaraj and music scored by Dhibu Ninan Thomas. The film starring Aishwarya Rajesh, Rama, Sathyaraj and Sivakarthikeyan has been praised one of the best films and performances of the year 2018.

Sivakarthikeyan's next production is directed by Karthik Venugopalan and stars Rio, Shirin Kanchwala, Radha Ravi, Nanjil Sampath and R.J. Vigneshkanth. It is now reported that SK's third production venture will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of 'Kolamavu Kokila' fame. The favorite hero of all age groups in Tamil cinema has revealed in all recent interviews that Nelson was the one who unearthed and encouraged the talents of him and Arunraja Kamaraj.

Sivakarthikeyan's character in 'Kanaa' too was named Nelson Dilipkumar as a tribute to their decade long friendship and now his third venture as producer too is for another close friend. Official announcement on this one is expected in the new year.
