Sivakarthikeyan has endeared himself to the family audiences not only through his family-friendly films but also due to his highly principled personal life as well. The affable box office favored star in a college function had said that he has never smoked cigarettes or drank liquor in his life thanks mainly due to his friends who never misguided him into bad habits. He also advised the students not to spoil their healths and waste their parent's hard earned money on these health-hazardous items.

Arjun Saravanan the deputy superintendent of police of the Tirunelveli districts has shared the video of Sivakarthikeyan's speech and has used it to advice the young generation. He has written in Tamil "No true friend will ever force you to drink or smoke and if anyone does it remove him from your friend circle because he is attempting to remove you from this earth itself." He has also thanked Siva for the message.

Sivakarthikeyan's current films under production are 'Doctor' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and 'Ayalaan' directed by Ravikumar which have music scores by Anirudh and A.R. Rahman respectively.
