At the Rajini Murugan` audio launch event that took place today a few unknown bits of information was revealed by various members of the crew and cast. In the film Rajkiran plays the grandfather and Gnanasambandam plays the father of Sivakarthikeyan. While in Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam` Siva was a jobless youth in this film he depicts the character of a hardworking young man.

Sivakarthikeyan in his speech revealed that veteran Rajkiran did a seven minute scene in a single take and Samuthirakani appears in a new type of villain role never before seen in Tamil cinema and the actor has given so much power to the role. Manobala had done a cameo which the hero feels will bring the house down. Siva was also confident that Rajini Murugan` will take heroine Keerthi Suresh to new heights. The Sivakarthikeyan - D. Imman combination have once more given hits songs as Ennamma Ippudi Panringalamma` has become as popular as Oodha Kalaru Ribbon`. Sivakarthikeyan signed off by saying that having Superstar Rajinikanth`s name in the title itself assures a joyride and the team have fully justified the title.

'Rajini Murugan' is directed by Ponram of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and has Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthi Suresh as the lead pair with Samuthirakani, Raj Kiran and Soori in supporting roles. Thirupathi Brothers N. Lingusamy has produced the film which is slated for release on the 17th of July.
