'Remo' Producer comes up with a unique overseas release strategy

Over the years, piracy has been a serious menace affecting the fortunes of Tamil films. Many producers and filmmakers have adopted various routes to curb it but none of them have yielded the desired results.

Now RD Raja who debuts as a producer in Kollywood with the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan-Keerthy Suresh starrer 'Remo' has adopted a unique strategy to curb or at least mitigate the effect of piracy on his film.

He has announced that 'Remo' will release one day later in overseas market that is after the first show begins in Tamil Nadu on October 7.

It is believed that the premier shows screened in foreign countries hours before the film's release in Tamil Nadu and other Indian locations helps the culprits to create pirated DVDs of the films and release them on the day of theatrical release in Tamil Nadu. Hence the producer of 'Remo' has decided to do away with any kind of premier or preview shows for the film.

The 24AM Studios of Raja has also confirmed that this release strategy will be followed for all the production ventures of the banner.

We hope this clever move works in favor of the film and helps a long way in curbing the piracy menace.
