Actor Sivakarthikeyan's 'Velaikkaran; has completed its second weekend at the Box office and the New Year 2018 has dawned with a great news for the highly talented actor and also the entire team.

In this weekend between December 29 to 31, 'Velaikkaran' has collected over Rs.1.5 crores in Chennai Box office alone. With 19 screens and 282 shows, the film directed by Mohan Raja has collected Rs.1,57,54,224 with a good 90% occupancy. 

The film's total collection since its release day is Rs.6 crore and 99 lakhs (Rs.6,99,57,907). 

With this the film has become the highest Sivakarthikleyan and the actor is all set to enter the Elite 7 crore club in Chennai which has been previously achieved by only a few heroes like Thalapathy Vijay and Thala Ajith.
