The title of today's birthday boy Sivakarthikeyan's next film has been announced by its director Mohan Raja.

As speculated earlier, the title of this much expected film is 'Velaikkaran' which is also the title of the 1987 Superstar Rajinikanth-Amala starrer directed by S.P.Muthuraman.

The new 'Veaikkaran' stars Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara in lead roles while Fahad Faasil will be making his Kollywood debut in a role with negative shades. Sneha. Prakash Raj, RJ Balaji and many others are part of the stellar cast of the film.

Anirudh Ravichander is the music director and Ramji is the cinematographer of this film produced by RD Raja under his 24A Studios banner.

'Velaikkaran' will be hitting the screens on August 24, 2017 for the VInayakar Chathurthi festival weekend.
