Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan, who is currently doing a Telugu-Tamil bilingual under the direction of 'Jathi Ratnalu' director Anudeep KV, is in the news for moving the Madras High Court.

Going into the details, the 'Remo' actor has accused noted Kollywood producer KE Gnanavelraja of Studio Green Films of NOT paying him the full remuneration of Rs 15 Cr for a Tamil movie titled 'Mr. Local', which hit the screens in 2019. As per Sivakarthikeyan, he received only Rs 11 Cr of remuneration till now. Not only is the remainder amount unpaid but also the producer allegedly failed to pay TDS to the Income-Tax Department. As a result of the non-payment of TDS, the actor, who is the assessee, recently received an IT notice. So far, the IT department has made him pay Rs 91 lakh towards the pending tax and penalty.

Left with no option, Sivakarthikeyan moved the Court.

What is the actor's request to the court? He urged the court to restrain the producer from investing in his three upcoming projects.
