'Maaveeran' is one of the most talked about films in Sivakarthikeyan's career. While the film is slated to hit the screens on July 14, the makers put an end to the fans' wait by launching the Maaveeran trailer at the grand pre-release event happening now in Chennai. The bilingual venture will also have a promotional event in the Telugu states.

The well cut trailer is not what you usually expect from a Sivakarthikeyan film. It seems that the National Award-winning maker Madonne Ashwin is going to prove his prowess in this mainstream entertainer as well. The video opens with what seems to be a built-up for mass hero but takes an unusual hilarious turn and it goes on to the mass mode at the end. The visuals and music too have an intriguing approach along with the cuts.

Maaveeran is said to be high on fantasy elements. The trailer makes it more evident that the film is a mix of fantasy, humour and intense action. While Sivakarthikeyan plays a comic artist, the rest of the cast including Mysskin, Aditi Shankar, Saritha, Sunil, Yogi Babu and others too have a brief presence in the video. The crux of the story is about when the protagonist's comic stories comes to life.

We can expect a lot of surprises and impressive sequences from the writer-director who penned 'Mandela'. The technical team comprises Bharath Shankar as the music composer, Vidhu Ayyanna as the cinematographer and Philomin Raj as the editor with stunts by Phoenix Prabhu.
