Court passes orders on case seeking ban on Sivakarthikeyan's 'Maaveeran' release

Sivakarthikeyan's new movie 'Maaveeran' is all set to release worldwide in theaters on July 14th carrying huge expectations. Meanwhile the case seeking ban on the release of the film by the political party IJK came up for hearing in the Madras High Court. The outfit had alleged that its flag has been used in the film illegally.
The Madras High Court has issued an important order today after hearing the case. This order does not prohibit the release of 'Maaveeran' but at the same time, the producers have been adviced to add a 40-second disclaimer for the allegations. It has been further directed that the footage should be edited so that it does not reflect the flag of the IJK party and broadcast on OTT and satellite channels. Now all decks are cleared for smoothe relelease of the film.
'Maaveeran' directed by Madonne Ashwin is produced by Arun Vishwa with music by Bharath Shankar. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan and Aditi Shankar as the lead pair with Saritha, Mysskin,Yogi Babu and Sunil in the cast. A major highlight is that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has given voiceover for a crucial character in the film.
