October 7th saw Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi lock horns with Remo` and Rekka` clashing directly at the box office. Both the films received mixed reviews from critics, but audiences are turning out at theaters to patronize the two most loved heroes in Tamil cinema currently.

Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthi Suresh`s Remo` has collected a total gross of 21 crores in Tamil Nadu with Chennai getting - 1.74Cr., Chengalpet - 4.85Cr., Kovai – 3Cr. and Tirunelveli & Tuticorin – 2 Cr. and the rest of the state accounting for the remaining numbers.

Vijay Sethupathi-Lakshmi Menon`s Rekka` has taken 6Cr. in Tamil Nadu during the weekend with collections from Chennai - 65 lakhs, Chengalpet - 1.25 Cr., Coimbatore - 80 lakhs and the rest of the state accounting for the remaining numbers. Both the films are hits according to the figures and are expected to enjoy crowds for the remaining two weeks before the Diwali biggies Kashmora` and Kodi` hit the screens.
