The hot news that has broken out in Kollywood is something too big for Tamil cinema fans. According to reliable sources hot hero Sivakarthikeyan has signed on to play an important character in 'Thalaivar 171'. It is well known that Siva is a hardcore fan of Superstar Rajinikanth and his long time dream of sharing screen space with him has finally come true.

It is said that Sivakarthikeyan is not the only big star to join 'Thalaivar 171' as Raghava Lawrence, Prithviraj Sukumaran and other pan Indian stars will also be a part of the ensemble. The official announcement is awaited.

What is official though is that Sun Pictures is producing 'Thalaivar 171' on a grand scale with Anirudh scoring the music and Anbariv handling the stunt choreography. The preproduction work is on full swing and the shooting is expected to begin in April 2024.

Sivakarthikeyan has a busy year ahead as his long awaited SciFi fantasy 'Ayalaan' directed by Ravikumar and costarring Rakul Preet Singh is releasing on Pongal 2024. His military based 'SK 21' produced by Kamal Haasan and directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy is also nearing completion. The 38 year old family friendly star will be acting in a mega action entertainer 'SK 23' directed by A.R. Murugadoss.
