As it has been confirmed by the recently released First look poster of 'Remo' that has won the appreciations of many, young actor Sivakarthikeyan will be coming in the disguise of a young and beautiful nurse in the film directed by debutante Bhagyaraj Kannan.
In his speech in the grand first look release function held on Thursday amid the presence of who is who of Kollywood including director Shankar, Sivakarthikeyan irevealed that he shot for 42 days with this get up which involved three hours make up session before the shoot commenced and two hours to remove the makeup after the pack-up call for the day. Which means Siva will be appearing in nurse get up for a long part of the film. This can also be verified Sathish one of the cast members of the film stating that Sivakarthikeyan is the first heroine of the film and Keerthy Suresh is the second.
Many actors including Kamal Haasan. Rajinikanth, Vijay, Vikram, Sarathkumar, Sathyaraj, Vijayakanth and Prashanth have appeared in female getup in at least one of their films. While most of them had made this in one or two scenes or as part of a song only Kamal and Prashanth have acted as men in disguise of a female for a large part of their films 'Avvai Shanmugi' and 'Aanazhagan' respectively. Both these films released in the mid 1990s. Sarathkumar had acted as a trans-woman in the blockbuster 'Kanchana' which was like an extended cameo appearance.
Now Sivakarthikeyan has done this most experimental initiative in 'Remo' that too at this young age and early stage of a career. The 'Rajini Murugan' star looks so close to a woman that many guys have started comparing his beauty with young heroines. He revealed that some me started flirting with him in the shooting spot while he was in that getup while his co-star Sathish admitted doing the same.
'Remo' is being produced by RD Raja under 24AM Studios banner with Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles.
