Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Doctor’ confirms direct OTT release in this many languages?

The Sivakarthkeyan starrer ‘Doctor,’ is one of the most anticipated upcoming films by the family audiences.  Its value has doubled after director Nelson Dilipkumar bagged the chance to direct Vijay in ‘Thalapathy 65’.  The film was touted to release in May but the coronavirus pandemic forced the delay and uncertain times are ahead with regards to theaters reopening in the near future.

There have been whispers that ‘Doctor’ producers would take the OTT route to release the film and now reports suggest that the decision has been made.  According to sources the film has been bagged by Disney Plus Hotstar and will be streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada as well.  Other sources add that it will release on the festive date of Ayudha Pooja in September but no official confirmation yet.

‘Doctor’ has Siva Karthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan, as the lead pair while Yogi Babu, Vinay, Ilavarasu, Saranya Ponvanan, and VJ Archana play other important characters. Music is by Anirudh while the project is produced on a grand scale by KJR Studios and Sivakarthikeyan Productions.
