Sivakarthikeyan's alien sci-fi film, 'Ayalaan', is touted to be the most ambitious project in his career. The movie has been in production for more than 6 years and it involves extravagant VFX works. The makers had announced that Ayalaan would hit the screens on Diwali 2023 earlier this year. Now, there has been a push in the release date.

Ayalaan is directed by R Ravikumar of 'Indru Netru Naalai' fame and jointly bankrolled by KJR Studios, 24AM Studios and Phantom FX Studios. Today, the team announced on social media that Ayalaan is preparing for a grand release on Pongal 2024 and assured the fans that there won't be any further delays. It is worth mentioning that this is the first Tamil movie to lock the Pongal 2024 release slot.

In their statement, KJR Studios said, "It's going to be an extraterrestrial treat this Pongal/Sankranti. With the primary goal of ensuring that our #Ayalaan reaches its full potential, we believe some extra time will allow us to enhance the film's quality for a remarkable viewing experience. We are confident that the wait will be worth it, and it will be a celebration in theaters. You've waited so long for this and all we could ask is for a few more months. As a gratitude for your love, we are bringing you #AyalaanTeaser in the first week of October. We look forward to welcoming our visitor this Pongal/Sankranti" (sic).

It is a double dhamaka for the fans as the Ayalaan teaser update is unveiled with the release date. Ayalaan stars Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Yogi Babu, Bhanupriya, Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan and others. The film has music by Isai Puyal AR Rahman, DOP by Nirav Shah and editing by Ruben. It will be released in Tamil and Telugu.
