Sivaji Raja, who is running for MAA President against senior Naresh, has alleged that the latter had insulted him in the past. Last year, differences between the MAA office-bearers came to the fore when Naresh came out in the open, alleging that some forces (referring to Sivaji Raja and others) were engaged in stonewalling his well-meaning efforts to make the MAA financially stronger.
"Naresh insulted the position of the MAA president. He even chose to insult me on my birthday. If I am contesting the elections for this term (2019-2021), it's only because I have surrendered to the love of my supporters," Sivaji Raja has said.
Last year, Naresh alleged wrongdoing on the part of his opponents. "I don't criticize anybody. Come what may, I and Srikanth will never commit a sin. Naresh is like my brother. But I must say that he has misled even Megastar Chiranjeevi garu," Raja added.
He said that he wants to see every artist in a happy and healthy state. "If our panel comes to power (after the March 10th elections), 50 poorest artists will be supplied with basic needs for six months. A pension of Rs 7,500 will be granted to all artists. I will always make myself available to the members," Raja signed off.
