Actor Siva Karthikeyan had a mixed 2019 with the failure of Mr Local followed by the massive success of Namma Veettu pillai and ended the year with the Christmas release Hero which had a lukewarm response at the box office.

This year, the actor had been shooting for Nelson Dilip Kumar's Doctor and also resumed shooting of Ravikumar Rajendran's Ayalaan and is next expected to sign few exciting projects.

While it was announced last year that Siva Karthikeyan will join hands with Vignesh Shivan for a movie produced by Lyca productions, now Vignesh Shivan is directing Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal starring Vijay Sethupathi. Now the latest rumours making the rounds is that Siva Karthikeyan will act in a movie directed by a debutant named Siby Chakravarthi, a former associate of Atlee and this movie will be produced by Lyca productions. An official clarification on this rumour is expected soon.
