After the super hit 'Kaaki Sattai', actor Sivakarthikeyan has not had any release this year. 'Rajini Murugan' directed by Ponram of 'Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam' fame should have released as his next film by the mid of this year but it has been getting delayed due to financial issues.
'Rajini Murugan' has been produced by director-producer Lingusamy under Tirrupathi Brothers banner. The film was first announced to release on July 17 along with Dhanush's 'Mari' but it could not make it to the screens. Plans to release the film on September 17 Vinayakar Chathurthi and October 21 Aayudha Pooja holidays failed to materialize.
The inability to release 'Rajini Murugan' was reportedly caused by the financial debts owed by Tirrupathi Brothers to Eros International and a few other financiers. Eros was not willing to allow the release of the film until they receive the payment.
But now there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for the 'Rajini Murugan' team. Kollywood insiders reveal that Tirrupathi Brothers has settled a big part of the amount payable to Eros and they have given a go ahead for the film's release. Talks have been initiated with other financiers and a positive outcome is expected soon.
With these positive developments Tirrupathi Brothers and Vendhar Movies, the banner which has acquired the distribution rights of the film have planned to release 'Rajini Murugan' on November 27.
We hope this happens and we could watch the film in theaters on November 27 without any further delay.
