After a gap of seventeen years, the ace filmmaker in the country Ram Gopal Verma will make a re-entry in Tamil.

In 1987, Ram Gopal Verma came out with Udhayam (a dubbed version of his Telugu venture), featuring Nagarjuna and Amala in lead roles with music by Ilayaraja.

Soon, he rose high in his career and established himself as a top director in Bollywood.

Now in the company of Ilayaraja, he is planning a re-entry to Tamil by a similar route.

Plans are on to dub the movie Shiva 2006 in Tamil. With cop stories doing good in Kollywood, Ram Gopal Verma has decided to comeback with Shiva 2006 --- the movie takes off from his original Nagarjuna starrer.

The movie features Mohit and Amoha (Nisha Kothari) in the lead roles. The latter made her debut as Amoha in Saran's JJ.

Music is by Ilayaraja, and he has reworked some of his big hits of the 80s for the film.

Cinematography is by Amal and stunts are by Ram and Lakshman. The story, screenplay, production and direction are by Ram Gopal Verma.
