Sunil Babu was not just an art director but also a production designer whose vision ensured that movies such as 'Sita Ramam' became aesthetic and authentic. The news is that the 50-year-old, Kerala-based technician is no more.
Earlier today, Sunil Babu breathed his last. The cause is said to be cardiac arrest.
The soon-to-be-released ‘Varisu’, titled 'Vaarasudu' in Telugu, is going to be his first film release post his death. In his Twitter condolence tweet, director Vamsi Paidipally wrote, "You have left a void Sunil Sir.... You have been a Brother and a soulmate... You passed away in silence, the way You always worked...You breathed life into every film you designed... Will miss You for this life Sunil Sir... Om Shanti.. (sic)."
Also known for ‘Premam’, ‘Ghajini’ down South and Bollywood outings such as Hrithik Roshan's 'Lakshya' and Akshay Kumar's 'Special 26', Sunil Babu was a sought-after name across industries. In his condolence message, Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan wrote, "The kindest warmest soul who quietly went about his work with so much passion and made no noise about his immense talent."
