Mollywood superstar Dulquer Salmaan is playing Lieutenant Ram in director Hanu Raghavapudi's upcoming movie titled 'Sita Ramam'. To be released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, the period drama is produced by Aswini Dutt.

The film's release date has been confirmed for August 5.

The 'Mahanati' actor falls in love with Mrunal Thakur's character in the movie. Rashmika Mandanna has a significant cameo role.

Sumanth, Gautam Menon, Prakash Raj, and Tharun Bhascker are playing meaty roles. Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma and Rukmini Vijay Kumar have also been roped in. Among comedians, only Vennela Kishore's name is heard. Yesteryear star heroine Bhumika Chawla has a role.

The ambitious film has music by Vishal Chandrasekhar, while PS Vinod (joined by Shreyaas Krishna as an Additional Cinematographer) is cranking the camera. Art Direction is by Vaishnavi Reddy as well as Faisal Ali Khan, while the Production Design is by Sunil Babu. Costumes are by Sheetal Sharma. Editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
