The untimely demise of lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry due to cancer on November 30 has depressed millions of his fans. The Telugu film industry is still in a state of mourning over his passing away.
On Tuesday, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajn, the Governor of Telangana, paid a visit to the residence of the late lyricist to extend her profound condolences to his bereaved family members.
Sastry's demise has been condoled by the Chief Ministers of the Telugu States, besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His mortal remains were placed at Film Nagar a day after his death. From Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna to Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Pawan Kalyan and others, many paid their respects.
Meanwhile, a song titled 'Sirivennela' from 'Shyam Singha Roy' is out. It's the last song that the talented songwriter wrote. Nani's reformist streaks and Sai Pallavi's Devadasi character find a subtle mention in the song. The film will hit the screens on December 24.
